​ On April 15, 2016, the DNTU diplomatic delegation had a visit to the U.S and spent time working with the senior representatives of Tarrant County College (TCC). For DNTU (Dong Nai Technology University), heads of the delegation are President Ms. Vo Thi Thanh Hoa and Rector Dr. Phan Ngoc Son together with other 8 teachers attended this crucial meeting. During the period of working, DNTU and TCC had a meeting of Partnership Specific Discussion which is relating to mutual academic cooperation, especially issues of transition for exchange student in the last academic year from DNTU to TCC. The senior representatives of two parties discuss the issues of academic exchange program Moreover, two parties also conducted to sign the Memorandum of Cooperation which is regarded as an obvious advance to mark educational cooperation process between DNTU and TCC. It is also a significant milestone to mark the close relationship between two institutions to provise extensive cooperational framwork, multilaterally and sustainably. The Memorandum of cooperation concentrates on the transition for exchange student in the last academic year from DNTU to TCC. On March 10, 2016 Ms. Anneke Bal Atsma - an expert of PUM - Nertherlands had a workshop with students at Meetingroom 3 of Dong Nai Technology University.  PUM experts in the conversation At the beginning of the talkshow, Ms. Anneke Bal Atsma showed a gameshow which she said that it was not only a gameshow but also a method for students so that they could practice English regularly.  All participating students excited Only by internship course, students just have experience and chances to test their knowlegde which they have learned as well as practiced their skills which Vietnamese students were shortaged. James J. Maher, Chairman of the Board - President and Mr. Hung Le - Associate Vice President for International Affairs, at Sheraton Hotel, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. In the statement od reason for the meeting, Mrs. Anneke briefly introduced some issues to expect businesses to understand about PUM. Beside supporting and sponsoring, she is particularly interested in student training requirements. The question that she raised is: What do businesses need for graduates? Have you ever raised this issue for the trainers? Prior to her question, Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung – Director of Hung Phat Company said: the weakness of students graduated is the practical knowledge the thought and perceptions. How to change students’ perceptions and thoughts, to make them more realistic. Therefore, he need a closely relationship between DNTU and businesses to solve this problem. Sharing thoughts with Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung, Mrs. Anneke said: knowing the attitude and perception of student before the fact is very important, she advised the DNTU students to practice, work in the first year. The school has a policy to innovate teaching under CDIO, so the problem that the businesses just mentioned will be overcome. Mrs. Anneke also raised the issue: How do businesses think about giving lectures to practice at company because lecturers need practical knowledge? Before that matter, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh – Representative of Packaging Joint Stock Company said that he also wanted the school to send lecturers to company so that they could see what they needed to adjust their content and teaching methods. The businesses is completely supportive, no obstacle. Representative of Dat Viet Joint Stock Company expressed his expectation to cooperate with DNTU in the process of training and coordinating with enterprises to directly participate in teaching, especially management and soft skills. This is the missing and weak points that the company is in need, so when receiving personnel, they no longer have to re-training. Receiving enterprises’ comments, Dr. Tran Duc Thuan said that we have many activities to improve the quality of education, especially when enterprises directly participate in training soft skills. In this regard, he hope that in the future, PUM will contribute more precious ideas to improve together. As a manager of the projects and personnel of the industrial zones, Mr. Nguyen Huy Hoang expressed: “When dealing directly with businesses, especially foreign ones, I noticed many worried issues and presented to the provincial leaders. Our workers are having many major shortcomings that training needs to pay attention to. For example: not care about safety, health; Loyalty, attachment or change of job and view; behavior, cleanliness; how to solve conflicts, problems; personal self-interest is too great, so the effectiveness of teamwork is not high; poor planning; little dare to take responsibility or blame the circumstances, is very tricky. PUM recommends that lecturers have internship at businesses is very true. There are many thorny practical issues so he personally support this plan. Will the business re-impact the school like a cell? School need to expand cooperation in what aspects are very necessary. Mr. Luu Hong Quan – Dean of Falcuty of Electronics – Electricity- Engineering and Construction is also very keen on the trainers to practice or join in the work but wondered whether the business allowed lecturers to attend. If the businesses allow lecturers to come to work together, study together, the industry has in-depth technology whether the business is satisfied? That is not a simple thing. On the evening of 13.1, the Center for Science and Technology Development and Young Talents (Central Union) held the 2nd Vietnam maker contest with Intel Galileo 2016 at Vietnam National University, Hanoi. Group of students won the first prize of the creators of Vietnam - Photo: VnExpress The contest was launched in early June, with the participation of 110 ideas for contest registration from 29 universities and institutes. The jury selected the 42 best ideas for the preliminary round. After 3 months of implementation, 16 best works of 41 students from 14 universities and institutes nationwide were selected for the final round. With the product "Robot supporting the elderly and the disabled", three students Nguyen Phi Lan, Le Ngoc Hoang and Tran Nguyen Phuc from Dong Nai University of Technology won the first prize. This robot can become a wheelchair to move, or can be turned into a bed so that the user can sleep or lie. At the same time, the robot can be lifted or lowered in a certain area so that the user can move from the robot to the bed without help from other people. Tran Nguyen Phuc, the leader of the group, said that the inspiration behind the creation of the product originated in the pictures of homeless people with manual disabilities in the country and videos of famous physicist Stephen Hawking in a wheelchair. From that image, the team came up with the idea to create a robotic car with a variety of features, low cost and easy to use to support the elderly and the disabled. At present, Dong Nai Technology University (DNTU) is training for 13 students from Laos and 4 students from Cambodia under the Cooperation program between Dong Nai province and Champassak, Laos and the support of human resource program for the Vietnamese community living in Cambodia. Among them, there are 16 students who are studying in faculty of Information Technology, one student is studying in Environment Management – faculty of Food processing, Environment and Health Sciences. These students have dealt with some problems such as living far from home, lack of feelings of their beloved family, especially language gaps and encountering lots of difficulties when studying Vietnamese. Understanding these difficulties, our Party and State proposed caring and supportive policies for them. A bridge is created to tighten the friendship between Vietnam and Laos, between Vietnam and Cambodia so that Dong Nai Technology University is dedicated to teaching and caring for the spiritual life as well as materials for Laos and Cambodian students studying at school. On 28th and 29th December, 2015, Dong Nai Technology University organized Mũi Né - Phan Thiết tour for Laos and Cambodia students who have studied at university.
